Nutana
Nutana, the first settlement in what is now the City of Saskatoon, was established in 1883. This primarily residential area is located on the east bank of the South Saskatchewan River, close to the city centre. Broadway Avenue, in addition to residences, offices, and businesses, is home to a broad selection of restaurants, salons, and shops. The Fringe Festival, which takes place on Broadway Avenue throughout the summer, is a popular attraction for both locals and tourists in Saskatoon. Nutana is home to a number of historic structures, including Fire Hall 3 and the Broadway Theatre. Nutana Collegiate and Oskayak High Institution, a Catholic school that serves First Nations and Metis adolescents, are the two high schools in the region. Ecole Victoria Elementary School is a public school that offers French immersion classes. In only a few minutes, you may cross the Broadway Bridge and be in the heart of downtown. Rotary Park, located along the South Saskatchewan River, is only one of the parks in this area. Given its great location, mature landscaping, closeness to amenities and services, culture, and character, it is no wonder that Nutana remains one of the most popular places to reside in Saskatoon.
