Queen Elizabeth
The Queen Elizabeth neighbourhood was constructed during a 25-year period beginning in the mid-1940s. Residents of Queen Elizabeth, who generally reside in single-family houses, have easy access to the Broadway neighbourhood and the downtown Stonebridge business district. This region contains one elementary school and one high school that are both part of the Public School system. In conjunction with the Saskatoon Open Door Society, Queen Elizabeth Elementary School offers a variety of programmes from pre-school to grade 8, as well as childcare services and overnight adult language training. The artistic programmes of Aden Bowman Collegiate are well-known. The school’s spectacular Robert Hinitt Castle Theatre has been used by the drama, band, and choir departments. Weaver Park, the area’s largest park, holds baseball and soccer games throughout the summer months.
