Saskatoon Buyer Checklist
Buyer possession checklist for Saskatoon home buyers.

A practical reminder list for insurance, lawyers, utilities, moving, schools, and key-day planning before you take possession.

Timing

Possession planning starts after conditions are removed.

Wait for a firm purchase before making final arrangements.

You can collect phone numbers, compare movers, and prepare your plan earlier. Final steps such as booking utilities, confirming move-in dates, and making legal or insurance arrangements should usually wait until the offer is firm or written without conditions.

Where to start

Buying is more than finding the house.

Once conditions are removed, the possession details start moving quickly. Use this checklist as a guide and confirm timing with your lawyer, lender, insurer, and service providers.

1

Insurance

Arrange home insurance before possession and send proof to your lawyer.

2

Legal

Choose a Saskatchewan lawyer and book your appointment early.

3

Keys

Contact your REALTOR® two days before possession to discuss key pickup.
